Receiving Line Supervisor

Job Summary: Responsible for the preparation of the goods for shipment and providing leadership and direction to department employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Monitors scanning, receiving, and pricing all incoming freight being processed to insure it is being done correctly.

· Assist pricers and receivers with their daily duties.

· Maintain company policies and procedures.

· Supervise and evaluate department personnel.

· Set an example for the department.

· Ensure lines maintain a loaded status.

· Ensure all orders to be advertised are quickly processed.

· Provide training and counseling as needed to prevent receiving and pricing errors.

· Perform other duties assigned by management.

Special abilities, required skills, or education needed to perform the essential job functions:High school diploma or GED. Supervisor experience preferred. Basic computer and office skills.

Physical demands of the job: Requires walking, standing, bending and some lifting

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• shipping & receiving: 1 year (Preferred)
